and if you have half a brain and can fallow what he is trying to convay you should be able to improve quite a bit. Posted: Sat 9:24 am Post subject: Re: Velocity stack shapes and flow I made one like that 30+ years ago.they do work and jetting is required. or just fill in the blocked off holes with a nice dome.with the vent a lot hole smaller, the only reason it's that big is the choke plate. you could also cover the vent with a contoured peice and tear drop it on up to the upper, outer portion. and step the id so it is the same as the throught of the carb. if the air flow gets disrupted at the bigining of the "Bellmouth" it's gonna be disrupted all the way. My beetle is not competing with your beetle. I just wanted to bitch but I'm getting no sympathy. My dad sent this my way while building an air cleaner box for his Locost Super 7 and thought I'd share. Posted: Fri 9:50 pm Post subject: Re: Velocity stack shapes and flow these are shit but better than none at all. K&N used to make stub stacks for many carbs out of plastic.I wish they made them for the idf style crabs. the opening shape can radically alter the flow. Yup I did a lot of that kind of testing on our super flo flowbench, I would say his data is prety right inline. Posted: Fri 9:37 pm Post subject: Re: Velocity stack shapes and flow
